The Cévennes Regional Natural Park is an area with numerous outdoor activities such as mountain biking, cycling, and hiking. Many points of interest are also nearby, including the Ardèche Gorges, Lake Villefort, and the Cèze and Chassezac rivers, where you can enjoy water sports such as swimming, canoeing, canyoning, sailing, and more.

Culinary specialties

The region is known for its many exceptional dishes that you will find on the market stalls or in the small shops in the city centers. We advise you to take one of the many wine routes in the region to taste the wines of Ardèche and the Cévennes. Visit the Saint-Ambroix market in August to attend the wine market. The region is also famous for its olive oil, its honey and its chestnuts. It is at the Maison de la Figue in Vézénobres that you can learn more about this fruit.

The caves

Near our campsite near the Ardèche, you can enjoy a family expedition to caves that retrace our history. We invite you to discover the Chauvet Cave, the Cocalière Cave, the Salamander Cave, and the Aven d'Orgnac.

Villages steeped in history

To learn more about the history of the region, we advise you to go to the picturesque villages a few minutes' drive from Camping Les Drouilhèdes, in the Vallée de la Cèze. Visit Roque-sur-Cèze with the Cascade du Sautadet, Barjac, Montclus, Lussan and many others. The city of Nîmes will also help you discover its past steeped in history, stroll through the streets, visit the arenas and the museum of Romanity .

Uzes

Uzès is a town labeled “City of Art and History”. To discover the most beautiful points of interest in Uzès, we advise you to go through the shopping street "Jacques d'Uzès", to go to the Place aux Herbes, visit the medieval garden and discover the Saint-Théodorit Cathedral with the Fenestrelle tower.

Gard's Bridge

The Pont du Gard is an example of Roman know-how. Go to Pont du Gard and enjoy a superb walk in the countryside, in the heart of the scrubland. Along your way, you will observe the Pont du Gard from different points of view. Get as close as possible to this 1st century masterpiece and you can also swim in the clear waters of the Gardon

The Anduze Bamboo Grove

In the heart of the Cévennes, discover one of the most beautiful gardens in France, the Bambouseraie d’Anduze. On a self-guided or guided tour, you will discover the different spaces of the garden: the labyrinth, the avenue of Sequoias, the dragon valley, the Laotian village, the bamboo forest and the garden of the pools of Eugene.

The Camargue

The Camargue is located a few kilometers from Les Drouilhèdes campsite. You can get there easily and relax on a fine sand beach on the edge of the Mediterranean, stroll in the marshes, visit a herd or discover the Saintes-Maries-de -the-Sea. Discover this region by riding a magnificent Camargue horse departing from a herd.
